Exciting developments are on the horizon for the seasonal reopening of Byblos in Saint-Tropez, one of the most wellness-focused historic hotels in the area. Following the success of its holistic and relaxation programs launched at the end of the pandemic, Byblos is poised to return for the 2024 summer season with new offerings. In May, the hotel will unveil new designs of its suites, aiming for a fresh and rejuvenating experience dedicated to its guests.

Hotel Byblos: an icon of luxury since its origins

Originally founded by Lebanese businessman Jean-Prosper Gay-Para in an attempt to seduce French actress Brigitte Bardot in 1967 and later acquired by French entrepreneur Sylvain Floirat, Hotel Byblos is part of the hotel group Groupe Floriat, managed by the fourth generation of the same family, who built an international reputation over the years. Throughout its illustrious history, this place has hosted personalities such as Elton John, Jack Nicholson, and Cher, and was the venue for Mick Jagger’s marriage to Bianca Perez in 1971.

The prestigious gem of Saint-Tropez

Since 2012, this splendid Riviera landmark has been awarded the “Palace” distinction, a prestigious recognition for 5-star hotels with exceptional service, historical interest, and geographical location. In 2021, following the Covid-due closure, it had already prepared a detox program and refined culinary experiences. Ahead of the summer season, more innovations are yet to be revealed, both in wellness and others.

Future suites where design meets tradition

One of the most anticipated developments concerns the new suites created in collaboration with Parisian interior designer Laura Gonzalez. Each room will feature a unique color palette (coral, ochre, yellow, turquoise, and celadon) including vintage ceramic minibars, marquetry wooden doors, and more.

The "Epic" wellness journeys

On the wellness front, the recently renovated Spa will introduce an “Epic Journeys” program, which includes two cutting-edge treatments:

– The Korean Lift by SeeMyCosmetics

– Four new HydraFacial treatments

These “Epic Journeys”, themed around air, water, fire, earth, and constellations, will include a yoga session or wellness class, a treatment, and lunch prepared by Executive Chef Nicola Canuti. Guests will also have the opportunity to customize their meal plans to adapt them to their holistic wellness journey. Additionally, the beautiful olive tree terrace, Turkish bath, sauna, and sensory waterfall shower remain accessible and available for guests looking to focus on their relaxation.

A renowned boutique experience

For complete rejuvenation, Byblos has expanded its range of boutique products through collaborations: with Sisley, it has launched the Byblos Make-Up Bag and a Summer Essentials Kit, alongside Pinel it created a tote bag with leather interiors, a clutch, a cardholder, and a luggage tag. Teaming up with Agnes Sandahl, a collection of ceramic candles in five colors has been created, and together with Duvelleroy, the hotel has come up with a limited-edition birchwood fan. The rest is yet to be discovered.

The Beach Ramatuelle: An Eco-Conscious Oasis

Perhaps the most notable initiative is the opening of Byblos Beach Ramatuelle, an eco-conscious beach club located on Pampelonne Beach, which operates under a “no plastic” policy and is dismantled at the end of each season. Its menu sources ingredients from local farms, gardens, and freshly caught fish, ensuring a sustainable and delightful experience for its guests.
